Worms 13 (PRE-ORDER)
Worms 13 is NOW AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER.
Released on 9 December, 2026. Launch details to come.
Now is a time that, in many ways, defies language. In their book, End Times Fascism: And the Fight For the Living World, Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor—our Worms 13 cover stars—wade through a world teeming with contradictions to examine the contemporary moment with incisive clarity and resolute purpose. Their imperative to “pick the signal from the noise” feels essential in a time defined by chaos and fear. One moment, we are watching a child cry as her mother burns before her eyes, the next, we are annoyed because our train has been delayed; a beloved author declares support for Palestine Action and is forced to withdraw her books from shelves to avoid a terrorism charge; a Black professor is subject to a relentless campaign of racist abuse ending in his suicide; trans people are demonised, refused life-saving healthcare, basic rights and dignities; a glacier collapses killing thousands, with thousands more missing; people are disappeared in the middle of the night; racist mobs patrol beaches; a spineless world leader threatens the destruction of an entire civilisation. What lands here, and a question we’ve been relentlessly grappling with in this issue, is: how can we create meaning in a time that forces us to reach for platitudes like ‘bleak times,’ ‘dark times,’ ‘unprecedented times,’ when life is left to stumble on with its familiar banality? – the same as ever and yet irrevocably changed.
What emerges is: nightclubs, heartbreak, cultivating boredom, outsiders, the “tenant feeling”, asking questions without answers, geological time vs. internet time, poetry in an emergency, a self-censoring AI, an Abyssinian prince, a bewildering nip-slip. Amongst this chaos, the connective tissue that binds these pages together is the difficult, essential, messy work of thinking critically between the body and the machine—the organic and artificial, community and the institution—and what it means to cultivate and sustain a practice of devotion, remaining “here in our physical bodies, here on this earth, here in this realm.”
