is a pioneering, female-led print publishing platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of writers marginalised within the literary world. With a deep commitment to underground and independent publishing, we provide a vital space for bold, experimental, and boundary-pushing creative expression.
Rooted in a mission to challenge the exclusivity of traditional publishing, Worms actively seeks to elevate writers whose work exists at the intersections of multiple identities and lived experiences. This includes those shaped by class, race, cultural background, disability, and gender. By fostering a vibrant and inclusive literary community—both in London and beyond—we not only provide a platform for underrepresented voices but also work to redefine the literary landscape itself, ensuring it reflects the richness and complexity of the world we live in.
Worms Magazine is a biannual literary style magazine that celebrates the intersection of literature and culture, offering a dynamic space for new voices in contemporary writing. Worms Publishing transcends conventional boundaries of form and genre, championing experimental writers and bringing their work from the underground to the literary topsoil.
Our efforts over the years have most recently affirmed our platform as one of London's leading indie presses as featured in AnOther, Dazed, Service95, The Face and more.
Worms is committed to PACBI and the movement for a Free Palestine. The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) was initiated in 2004 to contribute to the struggle for Palestinian freedom, justice and equality. Find out more about PACBI.
In 2024, Worms World was registered as a Community Interest Company (15858732) directed by P. Eldridge, Clem MacLeod and Caitlin McLoughlin; celebrating experimental and underrepresented writer culture. We’re committed to keeping The Wormhole accessible to everyone, so you can enjoy worming your way around your favourite writers for free. But, a small donation would make a huge difference. Your contribution would directly support our talented writers, enabling us to provide more special content from our literary topsoil to yours.
